FAQ
Common questions before you start.
Who can protest?
Texas property owners can challenge their appraised value each year for homes, rentals, commercial properties, and other real estate.
What does JC Tax Group charge?
The fee is 30% of property tax savings, with a $350 maximum for homestead properties. No payment is due unless a reduction is achieved.
What is the usual Texas deadline?
The standard deadline is May 15 or 30 days after the Notice of Appraised Value is delivered, whichever is later. County notices and official deadlines control each case.
Do I need to attend the hearing?
Most clients do not need to attend. JC Tax Group prepares the protest and handles representation based on the signed authorization.
Can you handle counties outside Tarrant?
Yes. Tarrant has live public parcel lookup in this system; other Texas counties are accepted into staff review so the correct district record and filing workflow can be verified.
